Sherrilynn Tolliver
Sherrilynn Tolliver has over 17 years of experience in training analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation; training and user documentation; and facilitating change and performance improvement in the public and private sectors.
In the area of training, Sherri develops and conducts training and coaching interventions to provide knowledge or skills for immediate application on the job. She customizes training for application to specific organizational needs, and designs, develops, and delivers leadership and management training, communications and customer service training, technical training, and team process training. Sherri is expert at applying instructional systems design (ISD) methodology to develop and deliver detailed course design documentation (facilitator and participant manuals, instructional aids, and training implementation plans).
She has worked with such organizations as the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Computer Sciences Corporation, the U.S. Department of Treasury, Financial Management Service, America Online, Nordstrom, the Central Intelligence Agency, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. General Accounting Office.
Sherri applies the principles of process consultation to performance improvement interventions where clients are engaged in complex, collaborative efforts through interdepartmental task forces, work groups, or self-directed teams. Her interventions result in strategic alignment, mission executive improvement, process improvement, team and individual performance improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Sherri has facilitated a series of interagency meetings to write functional requirements as well as client/contractor meetings of management representatives, instructional developers, programmers, subject-matter experts, and end users to arrive at consensus on content. As head of her own company, FutureSkill, she has conducted over 50 facilitation and consultation projects for various representatives of Department of Education senior leadership, management, and principal/program offices.
She is a member of the Washington, DC Metro Chapter, American Society for Training and Development and has served as its Vice President of Administration and Consultant Referral Service Coordinator. Sherri is also a member of the International Association of Facilitators.
